Background:
Kallee’s parents always treated her like the most important thing in the world and that was because, to them, she was. After trying for a baby for five years, they were finally blessed with a baby girl, one whose beauty brought so much to their lives. They were not rich, but they felt like the wealthiest family to exist with how much love graced them. With a protective father, nothing would have been able to cause Kallee any harm growing up and her relationship with him was strong and unbreakable, but not without its secrets.
Kallee was encouraged to do the things that she loved from a young age and it became clear that literature would become a particular interest of hers. When she was old enough, she found herself applying to Atlas University where she studied literature and started to write a novel of her own. The world she had created for herself was exciting and she got lost in it, spending all of the time she had writing it while she wasn’t studying for exams or writing papers for her professors. To some it might have seemed that Kallee was lacking some kind of social life but she cared too much about her writing to let anything distract her too much.
It was when Kallee turned 19 that she lost her mother. It was a devastating loss to both her and her father at the time. She died of a regular human condition, the cells in her body mutating to cause a cancer that eventually spread so far that no doctor could help her. That put a stop to her novel for a while and it took another two years before she was able to pick it back up again, this time having experienced pain meaning that she could write something more personal into the novel she was writing.
At 22, coming to the end of her studies Kallee finished her novel and worked up the courage to look for a publisher. It was also at this age that the secrets her father had tried so hard to keep would finally be revealed. What Kallee didn’t know was that her existence was fated and that she was about to ascend into a godship that aligned with the Olympian Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. Her father, however, knew that she would one day ascend and had brought the demi-god up as a human girl without any knowledge of her future with the hope of protecting her from hidden enemies.

RP Sample: The sounds of spring were often a comfort. The gentle breeze brushed so elegantly against a young woman’s ear, coupled with the chirping of birds who announced their return from their short time away as they escaped the winter that many wished they too could escape, was more than enough to offer the perfect peace she needed to write. Kallee liked to write, pen to paper, even though she knew that eventually it would have to be typed, but the inspiration never came when she sat in front of anything other than her notebook. Besides, she liked spending her time outdoors, finding more inspiration to write without the distractions of mundane life.
Kallee ventured towards the park that served those who lived locally. The park, that had been abandoned only a few months ago, was bustling with families and couples intending on enjoying the sun. Clutching her notebook, she made her way towards her favourite spot, the one where she would often spend hours enjoying the offerings of the small recreational area.
Kallee’s parents were different than most. Perhaps it had been their own modest upbringing, or perhaps it was because she was their only daughter, but they seemed to encourage her talents and guided her in any direction that she wanted to go and didn’t laugh at her dreams of becoming a published author. Nor were they disappointed to find that Kallee was not in tune with her Chymos. As a soul user, she was never really able to tap into the powers offered to others but even at the age of 19, her father was still encouraging her to not give up hope and that one day she would have powers like no other soul user.
For now, Kallee was encouraged to continue her education at Atlas University since her father did not want her to leave home just yet. He was extremely protective of her, but his reasons were also linked to the illness of her mother. Her cancer had become progressively worse over the last year and they wanted to spend as much time together as possible before the disease finally took her. She had no idea that today would be today.
Once she reached her bench, she set herself down and opened her notebook to the next blank page before she surveyed the area. There were children playing together and families enjoying picnics. There was much joy here and she did not waste any time putting her pen to paper. She was only a few minutes into it before her phone rang. Normally she would ignore it, but she knew that her father would be displeased and worried if he had tried to call her and she did not answer.
That phone call changed her life.
With her mother’s death, came a creative block. She could not bring herself to write anymore regardless of the encouragement from her father. In fact, it took another two and a half years before she was able to start writing again but this time, when she picked up the pen she did not stop writing for days, not leaving her room for anything other than basic human needs.
“It’s done.” She whispered to herself, two days before her 22nd birthday. She placed her pen down, a small smile dancing upon her lips before she closed the notebook and placed her hand on the cover. “It’s finished.” She said, as if she could not quite believe it.
